Day Book 3/8/11 (My Grandpa's Birthday)

This is Monet. She is a 17.2 hand Hanoverian/Thoroughbred cross, and will be 5 years old April 29th. I hope we get her! She's a very friendly horse. When I call her she comes trotting over to the fence so that I can pet her. She's very personable. Apparently she also has wonderful bloodlines. Her grandfather was a show jumper. Like a really good jumper! That's what I want to do with Monet. Here are a few pictures that her owner sent me.

She looks so cute here! I love her stripe and her pink nose. :)

Today is: My Grandpa's 85th birthday! Maybe Grandpa and I will have a combined party since, in one week from today, I'll be fourteen. Time goes by really fast. I can now apply for a job at Ebelings, our local grocery store. When I'm fifteen I plan to work at the library, at 16 I'll juggle two jobs-one at Maurice's and another at Linnea and Christine's. All of the jobs look like they'd be fun. (Except when you want to go somewhere or do something else.) Another thing. In eight months I can take Driver's Ed. Yay!!!! :)
Outside my Window: It's dark outside. It is late. (As Evan and Lainey say, "The sun is sleeping.") Most good children are in bed. I can hear the train's whistle as it goes through our town. When I was younger the sound used to scare me, but now I really love it. It's so peaceful. I think that it's saying "Goodnight" just to me.
We are expecting a big snow storm tomorrow. Might even get 7 inches. That's what I heard anyway. Other people have said 3-4 in. We'll see.
I'm listening to: The sound of the keyboard clicking away. The train's whistle. Mom cleaning a pan with oil. Footsteps. Bella's low growl at the train.
I am wearing: Red fuzzy socks, jeans, a burgundy long sleeve shirt with finger holes, my black Nike sweatshirt, and my hair is sweeped into a side pony.
I am noticing that: Just when the smell of spring is in the air, snow begins to fall. As ice becomes mud, snow covers it, making it icy again. What a vicious cycle. One bad thing about living this far north is that we really don't have a beautiful spring with glorious flowers and flowering trees. Instead we have an icky, wet, and gross spring.
I am soon to create: A bunny for Colton. He's the newborn son of Janelle and Blue. I ride horses with Janelle. She's very nice, and I'm sure Colton is adorable. :)

Oh, here are two pretty wedding gowns that I like. The first one is my favorite. I'd wear it any day... well, any wedding day.

I like this one except for that weird lace thing that's happening on the bodice. I'd wear a long veil and silk ivory gloves with it. :)

Good night.
