Day Book 11-12-10

I am remembering: Fourth of July of this year. It was a sad day because, Mr. Danielson, a man our family was close to, died. He was 89 years old. I felt bad for him, since he lost his voice a few years ago, and he LOVED to talk! My dad called him the "Boss" and my mom called him the "King of Norway" because he lived here all his life. Mr. Danielson's wife died seven years ago. (The same year as my dad's mom died, my mom's mom died, and my mom's brother died.) He put two pictures of her on the dash of his red Tracker. One of them was her when they first met and the other was of her in her old age. I thought that was sweet and sad.
At his funeral there was laughter as people remembered times they shared with him. It's still hard to believe he's really gone.

Walking to the parade. The parade used to seem a lot splendider when I was little then it does now. Now I'm like "It's okay. I don't know what the big thrill is?!" But the 4th of July wouldn't be the same without it!

I am listening to: My mom moaning because she is sick. Coughs...coughs... mmmm mmmm ooh oooohhhh mmmm. I hope she feels better soon. It's really weird when one of the parents is sick. Here are the symptoms: Cough, Sore throat, Achiness (but no fever) Headache, and "just all around lousy" as my mom says. Lots of people have had this- Josh, Julie Huppert, Monique, Ashlynn, and Faith Ball, Debbie Miller, Aunt Connie, and who knows who else.

I am hoping that: Mom will feel better so that we can go to the play at Northland College. This year's fall play is "Pride and Prejudice." We had to cancel our tickets due to sickness. I've heard that it's really excellent.

I am praying that: No one else in our family will get this sickness. I think Josh already had it, because last weekend we went down to Milwaukee so Josh, Dad, and Micah could watch the Hornets/Bucks game. And he was running a high fever, cough, sore throat, and achy. I had a bad cough with lots of congestion that week too. Now my throat's starting to hurt.. ughhhh.... I pray that it goes away asap!

Well I'm going to go finish my school so byeee byyeee for now.... ;P haha
